About Jill
Jill Wiseman is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with over twenty years of experience working with adults, young adults, children and adolescents. She is passionate about helping individuals, couples and families pursue goals with action and optimism. Her pragmatic, future-oriented style helps clients develop strategies and practical solutions for the challenges of everyday life. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive functioning, grief, adjusting to life transitions, optimizing relationships, improving communication, and living with neurodiversity.
Jill is a Certified Master Practitioner with advanced training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.), an evidence-based therapy approach that uses the power of the brain-body connection to help people make desired changes to thoughts, feelings and bevaviors. A.R.T. is a brief intervention with lasting results, which is more efficient and less intrusive than traditional talk therapy. Jill often recommends using A.R.T. to help clients “clear out the clutter by letting go of emotional baggage” followed by some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to develop positive mental health strategies.
Previously, Jill served as a private school counselor, supervisor, and executive educational leader. In addition to counseling, Jill has extensive training and experience working with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning disorders. Jill enjoys helping others learn more about mental health topics, and she is a frequent presenter in the community.
