About Kristin
Kristin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the healthcare and aging industry in Houston for over 15 years. Kristin earned her Master's in Social Work from the University of Houston in 2007 and her Bachelor's in Social Work from Texas Christian University in 2006.
Kristin has a special interest in women's health issues such as infertility, miscarriage and high-risk pregnancy. After a long journey experiencing infertility herself, Kristin has taken a particular interest in supporting clients who are walking through their own reproductive health situations. In addition, Kristin has experience working with issues of anxiety, depression, grief and life changes in work and relationships.
Kristin also has specialized training and experience in supporting individuals facing challenges related to aging, cognitive impairment and other progressive diseases. She has worked closely with individuals and caregivers coping with life changes that accompany the aging process including cognitive impairment, dementia, Parkinson's disease, anxiety, grief and depression. She is an incredible resource for families navigating this difficult phase in life.
Kristin is passionate about creating a strong connection with clients through utilizing a strength-based, person-centered approach. Through active listening and guidance, as well as providing resources and tools, Kristin strives to help clients recognize their strengths and identify new visions for their life.
Kristin's call to social work originated from her close relationship with her grandparents. Her work in this field is dedicated to them and the love and support they poured into her at a young age.

Recipient Counseling - Individuals and Couples Creating their Families with Assistance of Anonymous Donor Gametes
Kristin will provide counseling for recipients of anonymous donor sperm, egg or embryos which is often required by reproductive medical specialists and/or fertility clinics before treatment can begin. Our goal is to provide psychosocial support while navigating this process. During the session we will cover topics such as decision making, donor screening and selection and disclosure resources.
Kristin offers a sliding scale if needed.
We are always happy to discuss options if finances are a barrier to treatment.
