LENS NEUROFEEDBACK

  • What is LENS Neurofeedback?

The Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) is an innovative and powerful neurotechnology that works directly with the central nervous system to help it reorganize and optimize itself. By using real-time brainwave data, LENS offers a natural, noninvasive approach to neurotherapy, promoting a reset that enhances both mental and physical functioning. This reset allows individuals to tap into their full potential, helping to restore balance to both the mind and body.

Neurofeedback is a proven tool for helping both children and adults regulate their central nervous system, providing relief from a wide range of issues. It addresses the underlying causes of mental, emotional, and physical challenges, aiming to interrupt harmful patterns and restore equilibrium. As a result, individuals experience improved overall functioning and well-being.

This therapeutic technique is beneficial for those dealing with a variety of mental health and even physical health challenges, including:

    Ruminating thoughts

    Agitation and irritability

    Emotional explosiveness

    Depression and bipolar disorders

    Sleep difficulties and restlessness

    Lack of motivation and focus

    OCD and eating disorders

    Anxiety and sadness

    Distractibility and PTSD

    Grief and other emotional struggles

  • How does LENS work?

The LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System) is a neurofeedback technique that operates more quickly and is easier to use than traditional neurofeedback. Unlike traditional methods, the client doesn’t need to do anything or learn specific tasks, and sessions typically last only 3-4 minutes. This makes it suitable for people who have difficulty sitting still or focusing for longer periods.

During a session, sensors placed on the scalp measure the client's brainwave activity, which is processed by the software. The system then sends feedback based on the client's unique brainwave patterns. This feedback aims to reduce or resolve symptoms affecting the client's quality of life.

The LENS targets the brain's Dominant Frequency (the highest amplitude wave) and mirrors it back to the brain. It tracks brainwaves in the range of 1-42 Hz, ignoring frequencies above 42 Hz. This process helps the brain regulate itself more effectively.

  • What to expect in a LENS session

    Session Overview:
Sessions are brief (3-5 minutes) and gentle (usually no sensation felt), with lasting changes. For progressive conditions (e.g., Parkinson’s, MS, neurodegenerative disorders), ongoing sessions are recommended to maintain improvements.

    Initial Intake Assessment

    Complete and review intake questionnaires

Develop a treatment plan (sites, session length, frequency)

    Schedule your next session
Note: Complete the LENS intake form before this session.

    Weeks 2+: Follow-Up Sessions

Discuss changes since the last session

    Clean and prep sites

Apply sensors (2 at a time), close eyes, run system (up to 10 seconds)

    Repeat for needed sites

    Remove sensors and excess paste

Review expectations for the upcoming days

    Schedule the next session
Complete the weekly LENS questionnaire as directed.
